Introdução: A realização do exame laboratorial teste pezinho é de grandeimportância para os recém-nascidos, tem o propósito detectar possíveis patologiasgenéticas, metabólicas e infecciosas, podendo apresentar-se assintomáticas no períodoneonatal causar consequências irreversíveis quando não são tratadas precocemente.Objetivo: realizar uma revisão narrativa da literatura, através pezinho.Metodologia: estudo foi realizado em quatro bases dados (Google Acadêmico,MEDLINE via PubMed, SCIELO LILACS), também pesquisas manuais doMinistério Saúde. escolha desses artigos baseada documentos avaliando acompreensão publicações existentes sobre tema discussão. Resultados: Foramselecionados quarenta artigos, identificando a importância triagem neonatal,a falta conhecimento dos pais, necessidade diagnóstico precoce tratamentoadequado. Discussão: O pelo SUS, estratégia saúdepública que visa à prevenção sequelas detecta seis patologiasdiferentes como: fenilcetonúria, hipotireoidismo congênito, síndromes falciformes,fibrose cística, hiperplasia adrenal congênita deficiência biotinidase. Conclusão:Para haja aumento bebes doentes tratamento correto, énecessário pais estejam bem informados finalidade triagemneonatal. Portanto neonatal significativa traz somente benefícios osrecém-nascidos seus familiares.Palavras-chave: Recém-nascido. Triagem Neonatal. Doenças. Diagnóstico.
